William Powell BSc CEng MIStructE
Graduated from University of Surrey in 1984 and trained with Laing Management Contracting and Laing Design before joining Fothergill in 1988. Joined John Wyatt Associates (later WCJ Ltd) in1991 rising to Director. Rejoined Fothergill as a Director in 2005.
Experienced in the design of new structures and the alterations to existing buildings. Regularly carried out structural surveys and defect investigations on domestic and commercial properties.
Keen oarsman, and member of MCC.

Alex Fothergill BSc CEng MIStructE
Graduated from Durham University in 1995. Held a summer holiday job at Fothergill which extended through the winter before joining formally in 1996.
Has experience in a variety of structural projects, ranging from large new-build structures to domestic alterations. Regularly carries out structural surveys and investigations on domestic and other properties. Also acts as a Party Wall Surveyor.
Can often be seen in a rowing boat, or running up and down mountains.
CONSULTANT: Nigel Bostock BSc CEng MICE FConsE MFPWS
Graduated from Durham University in 1981. Joined Fothergill from Wimpey Offshore in 1986. A director here between 1990 and 2020, he now works as a consultant.
Experienced in the design of new structures and alterations to existing buildings, particularly projects for schools and museums, as well as providing Party Wall Surveyor services.
Keen skier and traveller to far-flung places.
CONSULTANT: Michael Hart MBE MA CEng MICE
Graduated from Peterhouse, Cambridge in 1973. Joined Fothergill from Taylor Woodrow in 1987. A director here between 1990 and 2019, he now works as a consultant.
Experienced in major extension and alteration work, including retained facades and the design of temporary support structures.
Well known oarsman, Olympic silver medalist 1976 and World Champion 1977, Guinness Book of Records entry for long distance row 1994.
